About the course

Course content

The subject should give a general innsight into and understanding og the relation between the physical environment, architecture, environmental aesthetics and people's persepsion, cogniton, assessment and preferences. Place theories and place studies are of special interest.

Learning methods and activities

The subjects are presented during 10 weekly seminars by a lecturer and discussed with the students. For each subject a practical or theoretical exersize must be implemeted. Each seminar starts with some students presenting their work in plenum. The exersizes are presented and evaluated during the course. This course is coordinated with AAR4937 Environmental Aesthetics and Place Studies.

Architecture/planning education, eduattion within social sciences such as antropology, sosial/perseptual psychology, sociology.
