About the course

Course content

This course is an introduction to Greco-Roman art and architecture and their role as models and ideals in later times.

Learning outcome

Students should acquire a basic understanding of the role of art in ancient society and an understanding of Antiquity as a model for Western aesthetic ideals and society.

Lectures and papers.
