About the course
Course content
Studies of different topics in prehistoric time. The theoretical and methodical fundation will be emphasised.
Learning outcome
Through analysis and interpretation of material traces of culture and in which aspects these traces appear, the aim of the course is to provide systematic insight to the past, from the end of the Iceage to the Viking period.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and seminars. The exam consist of a written assignment of maximum 3500 words and a written exam of 6 hours. Both parts must be passed in the same term and there will be given one grade only. If one failes, both the assignment and the written exam must be completed again in the same term. "Guidelines for written assignment" is to be found on the department's web site.

Course materials
The required readings list will be available at the beginning of the semester. Students are not allowed to consult any text-books during the 6 hour exam.
