About the course
Course content
The course deals with cultural heritage management and is directed at management theory in the form of the philosophy of preservation, bureaucratization and the cultural heritage field as a political arena, including management history and the structure of the management system. This module also includes an overview of the relevant regulations and processes such as consequence analysis, planning processes and the problematics of registration.
Learning outcome
To give in-depth insight into the theory of cultural heritage management and museum knowledge, with special weight on dissemination of knowledge.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and seminars. The exam consist of a written assignment of maximum 4000 words
Recommended previous knowledge
Bachelor degree in Archaeology, or equivalent. ARK3110 Creating Archaeological Knowledge, or equivalent. Competent to read texts in German.
