About the course

Course content

The course focuses primarily on the various aspects of dissemination of knowledge of the past. The main theme is the differing methods of communication such as display methods, popular science publications and lectures, guided tours, dissemination in a field situation and media involvement. The course also treats such aspects as motives behind, the need for and the effect of dissemination.

Learning outcome

The student shall achieve in-depth insight into museum knowledge, with special weight on dissemination of knowledge.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and seminars. The exam consist of a written assignment of maximum 4000 words
