About the course
Course content
The course is given every second year, in spring semester 2010, 2012 etc. This course includes the following subjects: cost models and optimalization of maintenace, mapping of performance prediction and development models of performance prediction in road networks, friction, road meteorology and preparedness.
Learning outcome
The topic gives basic knowledge of the principles of operation and maintenance of roads and how to systematize the maintenance both in summer and winter.
Learning methods and activities
Tutorial study with exercises, colloquia and some lectures. Mandatory exercises that counts for 1/3 of the grade.
