Course content
The course gives an introduction about fundamental neurological principles associated with the control of movement and muscle function, and relevant neurological principles related to circulation and respiration. The teaching will cover anatomy and physiology with focus on the somatic nervous system. The course includes perceptual systems and the relation between sensory information and motor control. In addition to lectures, practical activities, discussions, and demonstrations will be used to illustrate the theoretical perspectives.
Learning outcome
Students will acquire fundamental knowledge about neurological principles related to the control of movement and muscle function.
Learning methods and activities
48 hours lectures/exercises/group work. The course is reserved for students admitted to the major in Human Movement and Sports Science. Exchange students interested in the course must consult the Department for possible admission
