About the course
Course content
Various topics related to the conduct of an observational study will be lectured. Central topics include choice of study design and statistical analyses, presentation and interpretation of results, as well as assessment of validity and causality in observational studies. Methods for data collection in large samples, with special focus on the use of questionnaires will also be taught.
Learning outcome
The students should acquire knowledge in study design and methods related to observational studies in movement and sports science.
Learning methods and activities
42 hours lectures/exercises/group work. The course is reserved for students admitted to the major in Human Movement and Sports Science. Exchange students interested in the course must consult the Department for possible admission

Recommended previous knowledge
First year of subject area 'Movement and
Sports Science'.
Required previous knowledge
BEV1003 and three of the following courses: BEV1001, BEV1002, BEV1004, BEV1005, BEV1006, BEV1007.
