About the course
Course content
This course deals with the planning and execution of a research project in human movement science. In the form of lectures, exercises, and group work, students will be introduced in, and made aware of, important moments in carrying out a research project. These are, amongst others, aim and hypothesis, ethical considerations, literature search, experimental protocol, choice of statistics, carrying out an experiment, data - and statistical analysis, deduction and formulation of conclusions, and report writing.
Learning outcome
Students are introduced in the most important aspects of developments and execution of research projects in human movement science (e.g. researchers role, research ethics, scientific writing, statistics, generalizing results).
Learning methods and activities
Teaching and examination in the first part of the semester. 42 hours lectures/exercises/group work.
Compulsory assignments
- Approved participation in exercises and group work.
Required previous knowledge
Admission to master's degree in human movement science.
