About

About the course

Course content

The course deals with fundamental theories within motor control and biomechanics about the understanding of the control of movements, and the relationship of these theories to motor development, learning, training, performance ability and rehabilitation. Different theories will be dealt with regarding the control of movements and change in movement ability, with special focus on motor control and biomechanical perspectives. The field is multi-disciplinary, and this is reflected in that biomechanical and motor control perspectives meet in an integrated understanding of human movement and physical activity.

Learning outcome

Students will acquire deeper insight into theories and principles of motor control and biomechanics, and how these theories and principles contribute to our understanding of human movements and the control of these movement.
