Course content
The course will provide a fundamental introduction to epidemiologic study designs, and methods for measuring and analyzing epidemiologic data. The students will learn the most important measures of disease or injury, and how to measure the association between physical activity and disease frequency. An introduction to statistical methods suitable for epidemiologic data will be given, especially emphasizing the use of regression analysis.
Learning outcome
The students should acquire knowledge in epidemiological methods and managing of quantitative research data.

42 hours lectures/exercises/group work.
Compulsory assignments
- 75% participation in exercises.
Required previous knowledge
Admission to masters degree in human movement science.
