About the course

Course content

The master thesis is a scientific study on a self chosen topic in human movement science. The students will demonstrate scientific skills. The topic of the thesis is a continuation of the specialisation (BEV3051). One must apply for a change of topic for approval by the Programme. Deadlines for submission of application of the topic and assignment of supervisor will be announced by the Programme. Supervision is an essential part of the course. It will stimulate and assure that the students will receive a scientific dialogue with scientific staff. Furthermore, it will assure quality in the execution of the experiments and data analysis, as well as that ethical guidelines are followed. Supervision is therefore a compulsory part of the course and will be performed in accordance with guidelines set out by the Programme. The right to supervision ceases after the fourth semester for full-time students.
The master thesis exists of various parts. The main part is a research report in the form of a scientific article. Further, as part of the thesis, yet in appendices to the article, extra information may be presented about important events in the execution of the project that have led to the final research report. Guidelines for the master thesis will be announced by the Programme.
