About the course

Course content

The research seminar offered at the Human Movement Science Programme provides a forum where candidates, supervisors and invited national and international researches present their research. After each presentation, there will be a joint discussion. The course aims to provide the candidates with knowledge about, and an understanding of, both theoretical and methodological aspects of research. The course may be used as a part of either the theoretical or the methodological training. The seminar is offered at least four times per year. The minimum requirement for passing the course is participation in a minimum of 6 seminars and at least one oral presentation of one's own work

Learning outcome

The aim of the course is to provide candidates with a research overview within the field of Human Movement Science in local, national and international milieus. The course ensures the requirements of academic scope in the organized academic course work component.

Learning methods and activities

Seminars and discussions. Part of the course is taught in English.

Compulsory assignments

  • Participation in at least 6 research seminars.

Required previous knowledge

Master’s degree in Human Movement Science or equivalent
