About the course

Course content

The course covers theoretical and methodological topics of current interest in systematics and taxonomy, and the application of these topics in practical analysis of phylogenies. The main focus will be methodological through analysis and reconstruction of relationships between organisms using modern software. The seminars are based on problem solving and require active participation from the students.

Learning outcome

On completion of the course the students should be familiar with theoretical and methodological topics of current interest in systematics and taxonomy, and also the application of these topics in practical analysis of phylogenies.
