Course - Environmental Toxicology - Complex Mixtures - BI3074
Environmental Toxicology - Complex Mixtures
About
About the course
Course content
The course defines basics concepts in mixture toxicology including interactions and additivity of combinations of pollutants in air, water and soil. Furthermore, the course will cover interaction mechanisms, examples of interactions, and strategies for toxicological evaluation of simple and complex mixtures in controlled experiments and in field work. Computer based training will cover the use of software for experimental design, sample selection, multivariate data analysis, pattern recognition, etc.
Learning outcome
On completion of the course the students should be familiar with basics concepts in mixture toxicology including interactions and additivity. Students should also be able to show understanding of strategies for toxicological evaluation of simple and complex mixtures in controlled experiments and in field work.
