About the course
Course content
The course runs every semester of necessary.
The course will be concerned with special topics in biology for the PhD degree. Topics relevant for the group of students will be presented, discussed and analysed, using recent scientific literature. The content of the course should be approved by the Department of Biology.
Learning outcome
On completion of the course the students should be familiar with scientific theory and also central theoretical questions in biological science.
Learning methods and activities
Evaluation: Usually oral, but can also take place as a written exam or as a lecture of 20-30 minutes on a prescribed subject. Grading scale: Pass/Fail (where Pass equals grade B or better).

Cand.scient./Master's degree or equivalent
