Course content
The subject is comprised by studies of space, both in physical, philosophical and psychological terms. Thematically, the program is composed of analyses of space both within architectre and visual art. The aim is to generate a meeting between architecture- and art students which contribute to a deepening understanding of the spesific qualities and aesthetic demands within both fields.
Learning outcome
Students from architecture and fine art establish a common ground for understanding and ciritical assesment of spatial issues in today's society, especially connected to the public space. Understanding of historical an philosophical connections between architecture and art should be strengthened
Learning methods and activities
The student will obtain general experience in projecting and knowledge of visualizing ideas through sketching-projects and different workshops. Through lectures, reading of theory and participation in discussions, one raises the awareness of the challenges within the field. In addition, planning and carrying through temporal site-spesific events (workshops, events performance) involving social or public space

- Interview in the beginning of the semester
Recommended previous knowledge
Bachelor in architecture or art
Required previous knowledge
The course receives 20 students, preferably 10 architecture and 10 art students. Must be taken together with BK3171.
(Students on the BA level can take part, but the program is included in the overall study plan.)
