Plantegrowth and Development
Lessons are not given in the academic year 2010/2011
About
About the course
Course content
The course goes every second year, next time autumn 2011. This course builds on the foundation in plant physiology established in BI1004 with an emphasis on growth and development. It covers the physiological processes involved in plant growth and development, including embryonic development, cell expansion, root and shoot growth, photosynthesis, phloem transport, hormonal regulation, and environmental and hormonal signal transduction. This course provides a physiological foundation for students studying cell and molecular biology and biotechnology, and together with BO2021 comprises a comprehensive full semester course in plant physiology for physiology majors.
Learning outcome
On completion of the course the students should be familiar with the physiological foundation om plant growth and development.
