About

About the course

Course content

A bachelor exam with specialisation in Dance studies need to include a project essay, which could very well function as vocational training.
The essay should show that the student has acquired in-depth knowledge of the subject through the previous studies and offers a possibility to specialise through a project.
The project can be based upon practice from a place of work where knowledge from dance studies can be of relevance, in schools, dance companies or dance archives. The essay can also be based upon a separate project as a fieldwork, an artistic project, a pedagogical project or can be a purely theoretical work based upon dance studies literature. The essay should in any case be based upon or at least supported by academic literature from the field.

Learning outcome

The student learns to take an independent approach to a problem and to write a well supported report on the work.
