About the course
Course content
The course has sharpening and deepening the students technique and repertoire, the ability for improvisation and the musicality of movement expression as main ingredients. The student is required to participate in students performances and develop an individual project. The project should have the students soloist dancing as core and will eventually become a an exam performance. Compulsory courses: Other dance genres II This course gives an introduction to other techniques than is the core of the program and is based on practical sessions, lectures and work in groups to have the two groups of students work together. The course is evaluated as completed / not completed based on participation in the compulsory teaching.
Learning outcome
The student shall, as in performance A and B learn to perform and pass on traditional dance on a high level as solo dance and couple dance, but C has higher demands on both technique and interpretation.
Learning methods and activities
There are compulsary practical teaching in master classes, plenary, for couples and for individual students given by master dancers and program teachers. The students are required to write logs and produce recordings from the learning activities for the teachers weekly distance supervision. Based on logs and recordings each student will write a report each semester on his/her work and progress. She/he will give a public presentation of the individual project as exam.

Specific conditions
Admission to a programme of study is required:
Dansevitenskap (BDANS)
Required previous knowledge
Fullfilled DANS 4120 or similar.
