About the course

Course content

DRA3191 Project Course, Practical Option, is the first part of Master’s Thesis, Practical Option. The course constitutes the practical part of the artistic or pedagogical investigation of the candidate’s project. The course consists of planning, implementation and communication of the practical part of the project according to the approved project plan.

Learning outcome

The candidates will, through the completive courses DRA3191 and DRA3192, demonstrate the ability, within a defined area, to teach, supervise and lead young people and adults/students in projects designed by themselves or by others. Through DRA3191, the candidate will develop the practical competencies for such work. This includes the identification of the relevant context for an artistic or pedagogical project, and securing material, financial and human resources. Planning, implementation and documentation of projects is also a part of the learning objectives of the course.

Learning methods and activities

The work within DRA3191 may cover the development of a performance, a creative process or the methodology for a workshop. The learning activities within the course depend on the project plan and the focus of the approved project. The learning objectives are supposed to be reached in close cooperation with the candidate’s tutor, and the candidate is expected to make the necessary choices concerning investigation methodology, artistic and/or pedagogical methods and documentation techniques.
