About the course
Course content
The course is given biannually, next time autumn 2011. The purpose of the course is studying massively parallel systems for special purpose data applications. Non-numerical applications are focused, i.e. searching, recognition, pattern discovery. The chosen subjects might be adapted to the background and interests of the students.
Learning outcome
To master advanced algorithms with parallelism included.
Learning methods and activities
Colloquial form, where students actively take part. Projects, whith emphasis on implementation and analysis, are included.
