About the course

Course content

The course is given every second year, next time autumn 2011.
Business applications, IS strategies, workflow, business processes, value and quality of enterprise systems, analysis and modeling of business dynamics

Learning outcome

Insight into how strategies and workflow processes of enterprises can be analyzed and improved by means of information technology

Learning methods and activities

Guided self-study combined with seminars and compulsory exercises. The exercises include oral presentations by the students, plus a term paper. The grade in the course is based on a portfolio evaluation. Included in the portfolio is a term paper to be presented orally (50%) and a final oral examination (50%). The parts will be given %-scores, while the final grade will be a letter grade. If the course is taken by a high number of students, the oral examination may be replaced by a written examination.
