About

About the course

Course content

The most important part in the syllabus is a thorough theoretical analysis to optimize the hydraulic design of a runner. Parameters of great importance are the degree of reaction and pressure balancing of the blades. The reason for this is to avoid cavitation and dynamic problems when running part loaded as well as to receive a high efficiency.

Learning outcome

The course is giving a basic study of turbine design for turbines with 100 meters head of water. Construction, montage and different choices of materials are included in the course.
