Course content

The course aims to shed light on critical aesthetic and theoretical issues in international research on art and literature. The exact content will vary.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures/seminars.
Essay oriented towards the candidate’s own project.
The dissertation seminar is a compulsory component of PhD coursework – the minimum requirement to get the course approved is one presentation of a chapter/part of dissertation and critiquing the presentation of one fellow candidate.

Parts of the course will be in cooperation with the national research training programme in text, image, sound and space (TBLR). Some seminars will therefore take place outside of NTNU.
