Course content
European Studies I is a basic introductory course on the bachelor's programme in European Studies and Foreign Languages. The course gives an introduction to how the EU works as a political system. The goal is to give students an interdisciplinary perspective on Europe and European integration. The course provides a basic introduction to EU's institutions and their structure, EU policiy areas and a survey of the European integration process since 1945.
Learning outcome
The course will provide the students with a basic knowledge of EU and the European integration process. I.e. students should gain an elementary understanding of EU's institutions and their structure, EU policy areas and the history of European integration.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and group sessions. Logbook.
Compulsory assignments
- 5 logbook enrties, each approx. 1 page.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Europastudier med fremmedspråk (BEUROP)
