EU Cultural Policy and Cultural Integration
About
About the course
Course content
The course gives an introduction to EUs cultural policy. It discusses to what extent the idea of a common European culture has become a "missing link" in a presumed European identity. From a cultural perspective, the course explores relevant fields of European integration such as the draft of a European citizenship or the European Monetary Union.

The students should acquire in-depth insight into EUs cultural policy, and general insight into theoretical approaches of cultural studies. They should also gain knowledge of how notions of European identity and European citizenship are related to the dynamics of a cultural integration of Europe today.
