About the course

Course content

The course presents central theoretical approaches acquired from political science and history to the study of the EU and European integration. These approaches are used both to study and understand the European integration process in a longer perspective, and to analyse the system of the EU as it functions today.

Learning outcome

The students should get in-depth knowledge of central theoretical approaches to the study of the EU and the European integration process (EEC/EF/EU).

Learning methods and activities

Lectures. Assessment: home exam (5-7 pages).

Compulsory assignments

  • 1 oral presentation (approx. 10 min.)

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Europastudier med fremmedspråk (BEUROP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Bachelor's programme European Studies and Foreign Languages.
