About
About the course
Course content
This course will be taught every year, starting in fall 2010 if enough students.
Introduction to quantum mechanics. Density operators. Einstein Podolsky Rosen paradox, Bell's inequality, teleportation. Circuits. Selected algorithms. Quantum information theory. Physical realizations with emphasis on photonic realizations.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, colloquium, self study, exercises. The course is part of the Norwegian PhD Network on Nanotechnology for Microsystems (www.nano-network.net). If students at other universities or university colleges sign up for the course, the teaching will be performed in 2-3 gatherings throughout the semester, either at UNIK (Kjeller) or Trondheim.
Recommended previous knowledge
