About

About the course

Course content

This course will be taught every year, starting in spring 2009.
The course will focus on current trends in nanoelectronics with special focus on functional electronic and magnetic properties in nanostructured materials. The academic focus is: one-electron transistors and one-electron electronics, magnetoelectronics and spintronics. Emerging fields, including molecular electronics, and memory technology will be discussed.

Learning outcome

The course gives an overview of modern questions on future electronics, and highlights electronic materials for applications in future informationtechnology with emphasis on nanoelectronics.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, excercises, and self-study. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
