The specialisation course is intended to give the student a thorough insight into a specific area within film- and media studies.

Lectures, seminars, screenings, and individual supervision.


Compulsory assignment:
Oral presentation with written documentation.

More on assessment: The final assessment is based on a letter-graded term paper of about 15-20 pages.

Students are required to keep updated on relevant information from the department or course director via It's learning, Innsida, course web pages or the department's bulletin boards.

Film- og videoproduksjon (MMPROD)
Filmvitenskap (MFILM)

Required previous knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Film Studies or Media Production. Admission to the Master's programme in Film Studies or in Media Production.

Course materials

Approx. 1200 pages of set texts. 600 pages form a common nucleus of course literature related to the lectures, whereas the remaining 600 minimum comprise individually chosen texts.
