Master's Thesis in Film
About
About the course
Course content
Generally, the Master's thesis is a comparatively large written work (80-100 pages) to be completed in two semesters, with the objective of demonstrating the student's ability to work independently and in a scholarly manner befitting the discipline of film. In exceptional cases several smaller works can be submitted, providing they are equal in quality and thematic approach to that of a regular Master's thesis. Group work can also be accepted if the candidate's share is clearly defined and equivalent to a regular Master's thesis in quality, scope, and length. The thesis topic is normally approved by the end of the first semester based on a project proposal which also guides the appointment of a supervisor.
