About the course

Course content

Texts and Methods should give students insight into different perspectives for reading fictional and non-fictional texts. The students will learn to structure texts and become aquainted with different techniques for solving assignments.


Learning outcome

Students should gain an overview of different concepts concerning text analysis. They should be capable of arguing for their understandings and interpretations of texts, and they should be capable of writing comments to the texts.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and group sessions with discussion. Students must read the different texts before class. Assessment: written exam, 4 hours. The exam is answered in French.

Compulsory assignments

  • 1 written assignment in French (1-2 pages).
