Course content
The course covers central periods of French history after 1600. The course gives an introduction to important developments and central issues in French history. The course has a social historical approach and aims to see different areas of society in connection.
Learning outcome
Students should have gained insight into lines of development in recent French history.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and group sessions with discussion. Students may be asked to hand in their manuscripts for the oral presentation. Students are expected to give response to each other's presentations.
Compulsory assignments
- 1 oral presentation in French, approx. 15 min.
