Course content
The course is given every 3 years, next time concentrated to three separate weeks in the spring of 2013.
Main elements of the course are:
The development of interaction cross sections based on classical and quantum mechanical theory. Interactions with matter of photons, neutrons, and charged particles.
Learning outcome
The student will acquire in-depth theoretical understanding of processes involved in the interaction of ionizing radiation with matter.

Lectures and problem solving sessions.

Recommended previous knowledge
The course is based on MSc level knowledge in physics with radiation physics and basic quantum mechanics.
