About
About the course
Course content
The research process, roles and ethics of the researcher, and data sources in Geography are studied. The most common sources and methods used in qualitative data are covered in more detail: fieldwork and observation, interviews, and also different forms of text and document analysis. In the practical assignments, which are carried out on a group basis, students gain experience in collection, processing and analysis of qualitative data. The assignments are organized through obligatory seminars, where there is emphasis on oral presentation. Two group-based assignments must be approved before the written examination can be taken.
