About the course

Course content

The course focuses on change in the Norwegian cultural landscape over time, emphasising especially on recent developments. The course further provides insights into how agricultural policy, physical planning, and the management of natural resources and cultural heritage affect the landscape.
After one day of fieldcourse each student writes a fieldcourse report, which must be approved before the written examination can be taken.

Learning outcome

The course aims to provide knowledge of historical geography and landscape geography.

Learning methods and activities

Teaching method and activities: 30 hours lectures and one day fieldcourse.

Compulsory assignments

  • 1 day fieldcourse and approved fieldcourse report.
