About the course

Course content

The course is based on the Master’s course GEOG 3505. Candidates who have not followed this course are recommended to attend lectures and read the curriculum of the course GEOG 3505. The lectures/seminars in the master course GEOG3505 will normally be given in English.

The course studies the concept of landscape, landscape values, and theoretical and methodological problems in landscape planning and management. GEOG8505 is a reading course and the reading list will be decided upon individually. The paper can be handed in, in either English or Norwegian.

Learning outcome

The course provides the candidates with high competence on theoretical and methodological appoaches to landscape seen in connection with planning.
