About the course

Course content

The course is a survey of international and Norwegian economic history from the breakthrough of industrial capitalism, focusing mainly on the globalization of capitalism, the spread of economic growth, and the distribution of wealth among nations. Norway's economic history is analysed in an international and transnational context.

Learning outcome

Students should come away with an understanding of the history of economic globalization.
