About the course

Course content

HIST2810 is an advanced undergraduate seminar in international political history after 1900. The course's main emphasis is on the German problem before 1945 and American foreign policy after World War II, as well as British foreign policy for the entire century, along with conflicts in the Middle East, Viet Nam and the Far East from a great power perspective.

Learning outcome

HIST2810 seeks to give students an understanding of international history in the 20th century and to prepare them for graduate study in international history and politics.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures. One assignment during the course, and a six hour final examn.
