About

About the course

Course content

In consultation with ISH and the appointed supervisor, the students can select a topic free of choice. The reading list of the course will normally be selected in such a way that it thematically supports the work on the Master thesis, and therefore this course will usually not be chosen as a first-semester course. The term paper is supposed to be an independent work, and it should be about 10 pages long (12 points Times New Roman, 1.5 line space). Supervision is given in selecting the reading list, and it has to be approved before the paper is submitted. The paper must be an independent discussion of a specific problem within the thematic area of the topic chosen.
The department appoints a supervisor, and both the topic and the reading list must be approved by the department, by the recommendation of the supervisor. The student must hand in an approved, final reading list, two weeks, at the latest, before handing in the term paper.

Learning outcome

Give the student practice in developing a topic for discussion and to carry out a limited analysis of this.
