About the course

Course content

The course reviews central issues concerning types of data collection and analysis in social science. Key topics include survey, interview, observation, tables, correlation and regression.

Learning outcome

This course is intended to provide the students with a basic understanding of social science research methodology.

Learning methods and activities

Throughout the semester there are 4 hours of lectures and 4 hours of group discussion per week. There is a compulsory term paper, up to 20 pages including tables and figures, using Times Roman font with a line spacing of 1.5 lines. Tutoring is available for the term paper. Form of assessment is a 5 hours written exam.
