About
About the course
Course content
The aim of the course is to give insight into and understanding of group processes the students themselves participate in. The group processes are associated with collecting, analysing and mediating practical and theoretical work in sport. For example: Sport in the media, sport in politics, practise and physical exercise as a school discipline.
Learning outcome
The objective is to give the students insight into group processes connected with practical and methodological work in sport. More specifically by collecting and analysing data from the field of sport where students analyse the group process and participation. Emphasis is on learning through student activity.
Learning methods and activities
Teaching method and activities: Lectures equivalent to 2 hours per week, group discussion 2 hours per week. Two reports are obligatory. One is a written paper and presentation done by 2-5 students working together to collect, analyse and mediate their own data. The second is individual report and presentation of the group process and the students role in the group combining it with relevant theory. Tutoring is available for the term papers.
Admission to the course is restricted. All students must register in STUDWEB within 1 June (autumn semester) and 1 December (spring semester) if they want to take a course with restricted admission.
