About the course
Course content
The subject deals primarily with the use of computers as tools in other subjects. Use of standard applications and specific pedagogical tools will be discussed. Use of internet technologies will be discussed. Subjects like evaluation of software for learning, development tools and other relevant technologies for use in schools will also be discussed. The focus will be on creative use of computers where pupils use software tools to express ideas, for instance use of video, sound, music etc...
It is primarily use of computers in primary and secondary schools that will be discussed.
Learning outcome
The subject aims to give students knowledge and ideas on how ICT can be used i subjects like languages, mathematics, natural sciences etc..
Learning methods and activities
Lectures. The students will do 2 small projects and 1 semester project. They will count as 40% of the evaluation.
