About the course
Course content
The course provides an introduction to Japanese language with emphasis on pronunciation, listening comprehension, written language and basic grammar. It also presents aspects of Japanese culture and society through texts and conversations.
Learning outcome
The students should gain oral proficiency in elementary Japanese. They should be able to engage in elementary conversations in Japanese, and should be able to read simple texts. The students should also gain some insight into Japanese culture and society.
