About the course

Course content

The course has three parts:
- Analyses and discussions of methods to apprehend and disseminate chemistry (in school, university and media).
- Extracts from the historical development of chemistry
- Analysis and performance of experimental chemistry

Learning outcome

The course will present, consider and discuss various perspectives on chemistry, and intend to increase the students abilities as chemistry disseminators.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures with integrated practical exercises (40 hours). Semester assignments. For extraordinary or re-sit examinations, written examination may be changed to oral examination.

Required previous knowledge

KJ1000, KJ1020, KJ1030 + 15 sp chemistry subjects, or corresponding courses.
