About the course
Course content
The course will describe the organizational and financial structure of the Norwegian health system. Fundamental models for financing, risk pooling and payment will be described and discussed. The course will also discuss the concept of health vs health services and different models for producing and delivering health care services.
Learning outcome
Students will become familiar with the different models for financing and delivering health care services.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and group sessions. The lectures will take place the weeks the master program of Clinical Health Science has intensive education.
If there are any English speaking students, the lectures will be given in English.
Compulsory assignments: Student must be present at lectures.
Form of assessment can be changed.
