About the course
Course content
The calculus of probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, one and two sample problems, calculation of power and sample size, non-parametric methods.
Learning outcome
The students shall learn basic knowledge of descriptive and analytic medical statistics within the defined course contents.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and excercises. Exercises must be passed before admission to examination. The examination may change to an oral exam if few students register.

Recommended previous knowledge
High School Degree in Mathematics including differentiation and integration.
Required previous knowledge
Master's degree or similar. The course is also open for medical and master's students at the Faculty of Medicine. Candidates with a lower degree will be assessed individually.
