About the course
Course content
Intercultural aspects of institutions such as as art history, theater, music and film will be emphasised.
Cultural fields are changeable, but issues related to criticism are as such attached to modern and autonomous notions of art, and modern public access.
Learning outcome
Students should gain knowledge of institutional criterias for art production, and thereby be able to analyse the mechanisms governing art discussions.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures/seminars and self study.
Students specialise in a topic chosen under guidance from the course instructor.
This will result in an essay (12-15 pages).

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Kunstkritikk og kulturformidling (MKUNKUL)
Recommended previous knowledge
Basic knowledge within two, as well as a specialization within one of the programme's subject areas.
Required previous knowledge
The course requires admission to the Master's programme in Art Criticism and Cultural Dissemination. Successful applicants to the programme must hold a BA with a specialization within at least one of the programme's subject areas

A curriculum/reading list containing recommended reading will be available at the beginning of the semester.
