About the course

Course content

The course concentrates on selected theories of aesthetics and art theory.

Learning outcome

The course is intended to enable students to discuss issues central to aesthetics and art theory.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and seminars.

Required work: One seminar presentation must be approved before the student is eligible for final assessment.

More on assessment: The final assessment is based on a one-week take-home examination of about 4000-5000 words, assessed by a letter grade.

Students are required to keep updated on relevant information from the department or course director via It's learning, Innsida, course web pages or the department's bulletin boards.

Kunsthistorie (MKUH)

Required previous knowledge

Bachelor's degree with a specialisation (major) in Art History. Admission to the Master's programme in Art History.
